Dolphins observation @ Mikurajima
5 am @ Miyakejima
On 5 September 2009, I went to Mikurajima to do my research. Mikurajima (御蔵島) is a volcanic island in the Izu Archipelago. Mikurajima lies south of Tokyo and south-east of the Izu Peninsula, Shizuoka prefecture. Unfortunately, because of typhoon that will come in the next few days, I need to move to another island called Miyakejima right after swimming. I wish I could stay longer in Mikurajima actually. It was really nice to see wild dolphins. And it was amazing to swim with them. Because of typhoon, that day, the wind was so strong and the wave was really high. The water transparency was not very good either, so I was thinking that I might not be able to see dolphins today. I dived into the water three times and the first two times I could not see any of them because the water was not clear so if they didn't come so close it was impossible to see. Fortunately, in the third dive, six of them swam passing me, it was amazing to saw them that close, I was trying to swim follow them actually, but I was too slow. However, I planned to go there again soon and I hope next time it will be even more fun. :)
My new house
Kodomo no kuni
On 17 August 2009, I went to Kodomo no kuni with Andy and Tah. Kodomo no Kuni is the big park, where has a lot of things mostly for kids to play. They have swimming pool here also, but you have to pay extra. The kodomo no kuni is located in Kodomonokuni sen, you can take this line from Nagatsuta station. The entrance fee is 600 yen for adult.
Tah's Farewell party
Time passing so fast(O_o), four months passed already since I've known Tah (the girl with pink polo shirt). She is also from Thailand but she is studying in France. She came to Tokodai in a very short time to do her master thesis. I met her in Komaba dormitory, she lived just next to my room, so we've talked a lot and hanged out together many times. Only thing I could say is I'm gonna miss her very much. Studying abroad is fun but sometimes I just have to accept the fact that we have to separate from friends when it's end. I have learned that fact since I was exchange student, but yeah...it is still hard for me to say good bye anyway. Picture on the right, me and Tah was trying maid costume@printclup, it was funny.
My arubaito in Japan
Macdonald's in front of Ookayama campus was my first arubaito in Japan. My working time is overnight time around 1am-5am, and because my Japanese skill is not good enough my responsibility is mainly in cleaning a lot of things. However, I also have another job because I quited Macdonald's after worked for two months. This third job is in suzukakedai cafeteria, I do the dishes there, and it is fun because all obasan in the cafeteria are nice to me and they are all funny, especially obasan named Yamada.
